Custom rigid boxes suit presentation-led retail and gifting projects where the opening experience and internal fit matter. Start with the product dimensions, weight and arrangement. The outer box, wrap, closure and insert should then be considered together, before foil, embossing or other decorative finishes are selected.
A magnetic box uses a hinged opening, a lid-and-base box has a removable top, and a drawer box slides a tray from a sleeve. Think about how the recipient will unpack and reuse the box. Show the desired opening direction and how each component of a gift set should sit inside.
A premium presentation box and its outer shipping pack perform different jobs. State whether the box will be displayed on a shelf, placed in a retail bag or dispatched individually. Share any transit, packing or retailer requirements so protection can be discussed alongside appearance, rather than assumed from the box style.
Provide actual product dimensions or a reference sample, including accessories that must fit inside. Identify any insert or divider requirement and whether the contents will change across variants. Structural fit, wrap material, colours and branded finishes should be checked against the proposed sample and agreed specification.
Rigid boxes use a substantial board structure covered with a wrap. Folding cartons are formed from printed carton board. Compare presentation, construction, storage and packing requirements when choosing between the two for a particular product.
Provide the dimensions and weight of every item, the desired arrangement and any clearance or insert requirement. Say whether an existing measurement is an internal box size, an external size or the product size to avoid ambiguity.
Describe each set and its quantities. A shared outer size may still need different inserts or internal layouts. Ask for the fit and presentation of each version to be reviewed before treating them as one specification.
