Glowing ink can add a light-dependent effect to selected artwork on books, stationery or packaging. The expected appearance in normal light and in darkness should both be part of the brief. Show where the effect belongs and how the finished product will be used.
Provide the artwork, intended surface and any reference for the desired glow. Ask to review the effect on a proposed sample, including the viewing conditions. For children's products, include the intended age group, destination and applicable buyer requirements at the outset.
A digital image can communicate the concept, but the physical ink and viewing conditions determine the actual appearance. Agree how the sample will be assessed before approving production.
