This finishing option is a paper pocket fitted inside the cover of a bound product. It gives users a place for cards, receipts and loose notes, and can be coordinated with the endpapers or cover design. The pocket shape and capacity should suit the notebook rather than interrupt its normal opening.
Specify the journal size, intended pocket position and the items it should hold. Include any printing, fold or expandable construction requirement, with a reference if available. The pocket, cover and closure should be assessed together, especially when the notebook also has an elastic band or magnetic flap.
The existing option is an inside-cover pocket, commonly at the back of a journal or planner. Specify your required position and contents so the construction can be reviewed.
Provide the desired artwork or colour reference along with the pocket and notebook dimensions. Printing, material, folds and fit should be confirmed as part of the finished stationery specification.
